Not all coloring books are created equal — and this one was made for people who find blank white pages a little too cheerful. Spooky Coloring: Adventures of Witch Cat by Sara Szewczyk is a 96-page journey through strange little worlds filled with magical creatures, enchanted forests, potion-bottle terrariums, curious animals, glowing mushrooms, sea life, and one very charming black cat making its way through a wonderfully odd universe.
The artwork has a lighter, more playful feel than darker horror illustration — creepy-cute rather than scary — but there’s still plenty of weirdness tucked into every page. Fantastical creatures peek out from enchanted plants. Scenes feel like someone opened a storybook after midnight and let everything escape. It’s the kind of book you sit down with for twenty minutes and look up two hours later.
A perfect pick for fans of whimsical gothic illustration, witchy aesthetics, fantasy creatures, mushroom art, and cats who clearly know more than they’re letting on.
