Fairies were never meant to be sweet. Mythogoria: Fairy Nightmares by Chellie Carroll takes the original folklore back — away from the tiny winged creatures with wands, and deep into something older, stranger, and far more interesting. Demon fae with elaborate wings, mushroom-covered skulls, eerie creatures half-hidden in strange plants, and intricate black-and-white illustrations that reward every hour you spend with them.
Each page is dense with detail and atmosphere, built for the kind of coloring session where you start in the afternoon and surface at midnight wondering where the time went. The black-and-white line art gives you full creative control over how dark — or how darkly beautiful — you want your fae world to be.
Perfect for fans of dark fantasy, gothic art, creepy fairies, folklore-inspired horror, and adult coloring books that are anything but sweet.

Did You Know? Fairies in older folklore were not always tiny, cheerful wish-granters. Many traditional fae stories described beings that were beautiful, dangerous, unpredictable, and sometimes downright terrifying — capable of leading travelers astray, stealing children, or luring people into enchanted realms they couldn’t leave. Fairy Nightmares leans into that much darker, much older side of fairy lore, and it’s considerably more interesting for it.
