Did You Know? Jason Voorhees didn't don his iconic hockey mask until Friday the 13th Part III. In the first film, he only appears briefly as a child, and in Part II, he wears a burlap sack over his head. It was a low-budget crew member who brought in a Detroit Red Wings goalie mask as a placeholder — sparking the birth of one of horror's most recognizable looks. A happy accident turned into a horror legend.
